Middletons Long Island Iced Tea

Long Island Iced Tea recipe

There are a number of tales about the origins of the Long Island Iced Tea.

One of the most popular stories is that Robert “Rosebud” Butt claims to have invented the drink during a cocktail competition in 1972 while working at the Oak Beach Inn on Long Island, New York.

Although it doesn’t actually contain tea, the drink tastes remarkably similar and is one of the more intricate mixed-drinks on the Middleton’s menu.
