Middletons tiramisu recipe
The name of this Italian dessert literally translates as “pick me up”, no doubt relating to the caffeine in the espresso coffee and high-energy ingredients such as eggs and sugar.
As with many desserts, the origins of tiramisu are disputed: most date the dish’s invention to the 1960s at the Le Beccherie restaurant in Treviso, Italy, while some claim the cake originated at end of the 17th century in Siena in honour of Grand Duke Cosimo III.
Whatever the truth, tiramisu became popular worldwide in the 1980s, and we’re now giving you our own recipe so you can enjoy your favourite Middletons dessert at home.
