After updating our kid’s menu we’ve also updated our à la carte menu to include more fresh salads, fish and vegetarian dishes along with the burger that won our Facebook competition!
Some dishes are back by popular demand and your old favourites will be keeping their spot on the menu. The classic prawn cocktail and Middletons Grill, along with all our other popular dishes will still be the on the menu but there are some exciting new dishes joining them.
After grilling our executive chef Adam Mott about the new dishes, we’re sharing the story behind them with you!
Flavour packed starters
To start your meal at our restaurant we have new starters to tempt you.
A hit from our Christmas menu last year, the ham and leek croquettes are making a return.
Adam has declared these croquettes, which are pictured above, as his favourite dish on the menu at the moment!
They’ve been adapted to use Bechamel sauce instead of potatoes, which makes the croquettes melt in your mouth. They are incredibly moreish! This creamy sauce originates from Italy and has been used as a base for a wide range of dishes since the mid-1600s – and still remains popular with cooks around the world.
A brand new salad selection
The additions to our salad selection add vibrancy to the meat and fish dishes already on our menu.
We have added a Root salad and Waldorf salad on offer, we have a new Mixed Bean along with the classic Caesar. For those who want a healthy side to pair with their main meal, any of our side salads are the perfect choice.
If you want to have one of our new salads as your main, you have the choice to add minute steak, chicken, salmon or fried halloumi.
Whether you’re vegan, a meat eater or an avid clean eater, there’s a salad on our menu for you.
New mixed grill options
Let us introduce you to the Classic Mixed Grill, featuring lamb, gammon, sausages and steak, you can’t go wrong with this ‘Best of British’ meat selection. Rest assured though, the ever popular Middletons Grill will still be keeping it’s spot on the menu!
Because our meat grill is so popular we wanted to showcase our seafood selection too, which is pictured above. Perfect for those who love nothing better than some fresh fish, this grill has seabass, salmon, prawns & calamari and is finished off with zesty lemon!
Our grills come with a choice of a side; if you want something fresh and light opt for one of our salads. If you need your daily potato fix add some of our fries, new potatoes or dauphinoise.
Our famous meat selection just got bigger
We’re renowned for our meat here at Middletons Steakhouse & Grill so we couldn’t resist adding some new meat dishes to our current offering.
Lamb chump chops (pictured) will now be making an appearance on our menu. Chump comes from the rump of the lamb which means they’re full of flavour.
The lamb chops come with tomato, mushroom and peas but, when paired with one of our new salads the dish is taken to another level of deliciousness.
Gammon is making a comeback to our grills
Like with our new children’s menu, we listened to your feedback and the Gammon steak is back by popular demand.
Gammon comes from the hind leg of the pig and is an incredibly versatile meat. We serve ours with tomato, mushroom and crushed garden peas. It’s a must try!
The burger that won our Facebook competition!
We ran a Facebook competition asking our customers to create a new burger for our menu and we’re proud to present the winning entry:
The Blue Cheese Burger: A juicy steak burger with melted blue cheese, topped with pickled relish and lettuce.
We think this burger will quickly become a favourite.
New Vegetarian Dishes
We don’t want anyone to feel left out when they visit our restaurant so we’ve made a special effort to include dishes that cater for those with special dietary requirements.
If you’re vegetarian you’ll be able to enjoy all our salads along with our new bean burger which is nothing but impressive. Trust us, even meat eaters will enjoy it: layered with halloumi, lettuce, cucumber and finished with mint yoghurt, it’s a delight.
