Here’s what the reviewers say about our Peterborough restaurant
Our Peterborough restaurant has been open just over a fortnight and The Mayor of Peterborough has already declared it an asset for the city!
This is our largest location to date and can seat up to 240 diners, we’ve worked hard at making it a welcoming atmosphere.
So we invited reviewers along to our preview week to experience everything the restaurant has to offer. The reviews so far have been positive and we would like to thank everyone for welcoming us.
Here’s some of their top thoughts.
The delicious sticky BBQ ribs were very popular.

Many of our reviewers enjoyed the BBQ sticky ribs starter, including Natasha from the blog ‘Mummy and Moose’. She is a mother of three who lives in Cambridgeshire and shared her takeaways from the Peterborough location.
She said: “The menu at Middletons offers a massive array of delicious sounding meals. The ribs were wonderfully juicy and the meat just fell off the bone.”
For her main she enjoyed one of our most popular steaks – the sirloin.
“The star of the show though was of course the steak,” she said. “My knife glided through my medium rare sirloin without any trouble at all. The meat was succulent and melt in the mouth perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten in fact.”
“Prices range from the £50 36oz steak all the way down to the £9.99 set menu so there really is something to suit all budgets at Middletons.”
“This was literally the best steak I’ve ever eaten…”

Mikey Clarke from Peterborough-based magazine ESP also paid us a visit. For his main he enjoyed our steak – what we’re famous for.
“My main was the 36oz rib-eye on the bone (yes, 36oz!),” he said. “The knife effortlessly carved into the medium-rare steak that was bigger than my head.
The meat was cooked to perfection with really good flavour and texture. It had lovely marbling without too much fat. The mushrooms that accompanied the steak were incredible, with the sweet potato fries equally as delicious. This was literally the best steak I have ever eaten.”
The bacon and cheddar burger was a hit.

For her main she ordered our bacon and cheddar burger.
“I ordered 8oz bacon and cheddar burger. It is a lovely steak burger, with smoked bacon and cheese with lettuce and burger relish. I asked for mine plain, and they were more than happy to accommodate that request. Our meals were perfect! Looked great and tasted great too! The burger I had was lovely, and came with an onion ring (I didn’t expect that).”
Speaking about the desserts, they said: “Both [desserts] looked and tasted great! Both of us enjoyed our meals and we left feeling very positive about our experience. We are looking forward to coming back!”
The classic mixed grill with sirloin steak was “the best I’ve ever had”…

Our chocolate mousse with caramel, fresh cream and shortbread biscuit is still on her mind.
She said: “The delectable Chocolate Pot. Oh hell, what a dessert! Made up of dreamy chocolate mousse, silky caramel, fresh cream and with a shortbread biscuit on the side, it was a rich, chocolatey sensation that makes my mouth water just typing this.”
